In 2019 Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust secured ownership of Hemsby Barn, a Grade I listed manorial barn. The thatched and timber-framed barn is a remarkable medieval survival, dating from c.1270. 

We are exploring a number of potential future uses for the barn, including an events space, centre for traditional skills training and holiday accommodation. Emergency thatching repairs were undertaken in August 2020 and funding is currently being sought to develop a full programme of repair and reuse.
